THE WRITERS ROOM
Stop staring at a blank word document while feeling overwhelmed. Comedy is a group sport, including the writing. Connect with like minded students as you produce great short form comedy and develop your unique creative voice.
It’s also a great class for actors. Breaking down a scene is much easier when you understand the mechanics and structure Film and TV writers are using to produce their stories.
For those looking to make a mark on social media, learning classic sketch comedy format will give your work greater clarity, emotion and story, you know: the things audiences connect with!
Every Week Lauren teaches a new concept of classic sketch writing and idea generation, students present their work at the table read and get direct feedback on their drafts every class.

CONNECTED COMEDY 2 DAY WORKSHOP
Join Lauren and Kendra for a weekend to find your funny and boost your confidence in auditioning for comedy in 2026!
Comedy audition breakdowns in Hollywood North seem to always be asking actors to “Pace it up for network!” and “Keep is grounded, the tone is very real!” This weekend guarantee’ss students will walk away knowing how to accomplish both!
With Kendra’s 10+ years experience teaching Voice and Breath (CCPA 2 Year Graduate Program, Iris Macgreggor Bannerman‘Think, Breath, Speak’, 500+ hours RYT) and Lauren’s comedy resume that sprawls from film/TV to stand up to improv, students will be guided through a range of exercises to understand pacing and breath, connecting with the text and building a comedic character that’s honest and memorable.

PRIVATE ACTING LESSONS
Lauren always recommends learning acting in a group setting! It’s a collaborative form by nature and training with other actors is essential. However, there are times when privacy is needed. Perhaps you book that big role of your dreams and want to run the scenes and lines? Or it’s a vulnerable piece that you’d like support navigating one -on-one. Reach out any time to work with Lauren.
